Your choice: local or online play

Choose "Play on this device" to play without creating an online profile. In that mode, game history and preferences are saved on this device and the app does not make requests to our game servers or register for push notifications. Removing app data can remove local progress. You can later choose to connect an online profile. Opening an external website or email app is a separate action subject to that service's policies.

Online profiles and gameplay

When you choose an online profile, we process your chosen handle, profile identifier, a randomly generated device identifier, selected mascot and settings. Public profiles show your handle and game statistics to other players; you can turn public leaderboard visibility off in your profile. Choose a nickname, not your real name.

Game records may include board/game type, moves, outcomes, duration, opponents, rankings, achievements, streaks and timestamps. Games played locally by a connected online profile can be queued and synced when connectivity returns. We use these records for progress, fair play, matchmaking, friends, tournaments and restoring profiles. Owner-only aggregate reports use recorded gameplay to understand returning players, game popularity and product quality.

Email and sign-in

Email is optional. We process it when you choose email recovery or Apple/Google sign-in, along with the provider's account identifier and any profile name supplied. We use this information for authentication, family profile associations and recovery. Apple's private relay address is supported. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.

Notifications and service providers

Game notifications are off until you enable them in Settings and allow the system permission. Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging deliver invitations and turn notifications. These services may process installation identifiers, push tokens, app/device metadata and service diagnostics. Disable game notifications in the app's Settings to stop registration and remove the current push token; system notification settings also control delivery.

We use hosting, email, authentication and push providers to operate the service. Data needed for their functions is processed under their service and data-protection terms. We do not sell personal data, display third-party advertisements or use advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking. Absence of advertising tracking does not mean that the online service collects no data.

Security, reports and diagnostics

Our servers process request metadata such as IP address, user agent, request time and errors for security, rate limits and reliability. We process submitted player reports and relevant account/game information to investigate abuse. Access to administration and aggregate reporting is restricted. Network traffic uses HTTPS. Never include passwords or sensitive personal information in a nickname or report.

Retention and deletion

Online profile and gameplay records are retained while needed to provide the account, progress and associated services. Choose Profile > Account & players > Delete profile to delete the selected online profile and its associated records. Other family profiles are separate and are not deleted by this action. Identifying opponent snapshots are removed from retained server game histories; non-identifying shared game records may remain.

Apple authorization can be removed during deletion by confirming your Apple account. When automatic removal is unavailable, the app explains how to remove Patt Krida in Apple Account settings; this does not prevent deletion of our profile data.

Local histories on devices, copies shared by other players, security records and backups are not all removed by deleting a server profile. Backups and security records are retained only as needed for recovery, security or legal obligations and must not be used to reactivate a deleted profile. Contact us to request removal of remaining personal data or details of applicable retention. Signing out or "Start fresh" is not the same as deleting an online account.

You can export your online profile data from the profile screen. You can stop future gameplay syncing by signing out and choosing local play. Contact us to exercise other applicable privacy rights or withdraw consent; some online features then cannot be provided.

Families and external links

Use local play when an account or online sharing is not appropriate. Parents or guardians should supervise children's online profiles, sign-in, sharing and external links, and avoid supplying a child's real name or email. Contact us if a child supplied personal information without appropriate permission. We will address deletion requests and applicable parental rights. There is no free-text player chat. Player-authored public names can be reported or blocked.
